About Me
Hi, my name is Jaida Storrs, but I just go by Ro. I am a current student at Mount Mary University pursuing a degree in Fashion Design. Pursuing a career in the fashion industry has been my dream as long as I can remember. My parents always told me I would spend hours in my closet picking out outfits for both me and my younger sister. Historical fashion has always inspired me as a designer as in my eye's clothes have no age or boundaries. I believe in always expressing yourself in new and beautiful ways. The word Ambrosia is my inspiration in one word. It is a mythological drink that the Greek gods would drink to stay immortal and that's what design is all about immortalizing your thoughts, feelings, actions, your life. There is only one you in this world so live to the fullest.
Get to Know Us
My history with fashion design started when I was 3 years old. My mom would tell me stories about me tearing apart my closet for the perfect outfit, changing multiple times a day to match each activity I would be doing that day, and even dressing up my little sister. I continued to dress up, style myself (and sometimes my sisters), and even sketch my own designs. I knew I wanted to go to school for fashion when my grandma bought me my very own sewing machine. I felt seen and supported in my dream to be a fashion designer and I have her to thank that I am here now.
